The company's deposit offerings include certificates of deposit, money market savings accounts, transaction deposit accounts, non-interest bearing demand accounts and individual retirement accounts. Waterstone Financial's investment securities portfolio is comprised principally of mortgage-backed securities, government-sponsored enterprise bonds and municipal obligations. Its mortgage banking operations are conducted through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Waterstone Mortgage Corp. The company operates its business through two segments: community banking and mortgage banking. Community banking, which is conducted through WaterStone Bank, consists of lending and deposit taking to consumers and businesses and the support to deliver, fund, and manage such banking services. Mortgage banking, which is conducted through Waterstone Mortgage Corporation, consists of originating residential mortgage loans for sale in the secondary market. Waterstone Financial was founded in June 2013 and is headquartered in Wauwatosa, WI.
